What is it all about?

Are you a tenant or owner with Southside?  We are looking for photographs of your local area.  The bits that you are proud of or make you happy.  Or a quirky aspect of a building or a park.  We are not looking for people shots, this about your environment, the area you live, the building you live in.  Have you got a beautiful old tenement close that you want to show off, or is there a park beside you that you enjoy spending time in.  We have a few shots here to inspire you.

There will be three winners and each will have their photo immortalised on a good quality canvas for you to hang on your wall.  And the housing association would like to use the best shots to create pictures for hanging around our office to show off to visitors just how brilliant are the areas in which you live.

There are a few rules.  These are listed on the right, and you have to upload the pictures here,  using the form below. Each person can submit up to 3 photos.   Closing date is 31st July 2024 and the winners will be announced two weeks after.  The judging panel will be two Management Committee Members and our CEO.

The Rules:

1. The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.
2. Violators will be removed from the contest, stripped of any prize(s), and banned from entering future contests.
3. Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel. Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.
4. Entries will be judged by the Southside Housing Association. All decisions are final. The Association reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
5. By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by Southside H.A. for visual displays in the office, newsletter, website and other publicity.
6. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
7. The prize must be collected by the winner and is nontransferable.
8. The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry. If no response is received after 5 business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
9. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
