Handyperson Service

Are you struggling to complete small repairs in your home?

A FREE Handyperson Service for homeowners and private rented tenants, available to people in Glasgow where all members of the household are aged 65 and over or have a disability, irrespective of age. Payment is only required for materials provided by the Handyperson. The service is provided by three Handypersons who carry out small practical tasks. We also carry out small repairs for Southside, Govanhill, New Gorbals, Thenue, Linthouse, Blackwood, Rosehill and Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Associations.

What can we help with?

  • Change light bulbs / toilet seats.
  • Install wireless doorbells.
  • Fit shelves, bannisters, towel rails, grab & hand rails.
  • Prepare the home for works such as central heating or medical equipment being delivered.
  • Fit thresholds and secure loose flooring to prevent trips and falls.
  • many other jobs!

Sorry, work we cannot carry out:

  • Gas, plumbing or electrical work
  • Cleaning / gardening
  • Painting and decorating

Our Handyperson staff have been carefully selected and undergo Disclosure Scotland security checks.

Appointments can be made to ensure the Handyperson arrives on the day agreed with you and you can use a password system for some additional reassurance.
