Access to Information
As a registered social landlord we hold many different types of information. We proactively publish a significant amount of information about the Association through our official publications, our Annual Report and our Southsider Newsletter. We have also adopted a voluntary approach to proactively publishing and signposting to information about the Association.
There is also information that we provide to organisations like the Scottish Housing Regulator, The Care Inspectorate and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and the Financial Conduct Authority which is accessible to the public.
There are a number of key pieces of legislation which provide you with rights to access information in a number of different ways.
- UK General Data Protection Regulation & Data Protection Act 2018 – Provide rights to access your own personal information held by organisations.
- Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 – Provides rights for individuals to access a range of information held by organisations who are designated public authorities under the Act.
- Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 – Provides rights for individuals to access a range of environmental information held by organisations who are designated public authorities under the regulations.
