Applicants need to be in full or part-time employment and have a household income of £15,000 – £37,000 per year.

*applicants cannot be reliant on housing benefits*

To secure a mid-market rent property a deposit equivalent to one month’s rent will be required. The first month rent is also payable before you secure the keys for the property.

Your rent is due to be paid on the 28th of each month.

Changes apart from wallpapering can be made to your home with approval from Southside Letting. Please note that we do require the property to be returned to its original state once the tenancy is terminated. Failure to do so could result in the loss of a deposit.

Domestic pets can be allowed within mid-market rent homes, but only if written consent has been provided by Southside Letting.

Tenants can change the utility providers and do not have to notify Southside Letting.

Southside Letting are responsible for carrying out repairs on mid-market properties through our approved contractors. Tenants will only be invoiced for the repair if it is a rechargeable repair.

Southside Letting can refer you to Southside Housing Association’s Money Advice Team who can provide further support on this matter.

After the initial six-month period, you may give Southside Letting two month notice in writing to end your tenancy.

Your deposit will be held with ‘My Deposit Scotland’ and will be released back to yourself, on the premise that there are no outstanding arrears / recharges on your account.
