The rent consultation for the year 2018/19 is now open for tenants to give feedback.
You will have recently received a questionnaire outlining our proposal to increase tenants rents by 3.5% from 1st April 2018. We would like to hear your views on the affordability of the proposed rent increase, the level of services we currently provide and the level of investment planned for our homes.
We would be very grateful if you could complete and return the questionnaire, alternatively you can complete the form enclosed within our winter edition of The Southsider or complete an online questionnaire here.
All completed questionnaires will be entered in a prize draw and the first five pulled from the hat will receive a high street voucher worth £50.
Please get in touch before Monday 15th January 2018.
What Happens Next?
Southside Housing Assocation’s Management Committee will consider your responses and comments before making a decision about what level of rent increase to apply. The Committee will also consider other information, such as the legal and regulatory requirements which the Association must comply with. These include meeting energy efficiency standards, achieving performance targets and delivering services that you have told us you want.
The Management Committee is expected to make their decision in January 2018, with tenants being notified of their new rent charges by letter no later than 28th March 2018. The outcome of the rent consultation and the decision taken by the Management Committee will be included in our spring edition of The Southsider.
